When Claudia Pereira asked me to write flute pieces accessible to younger students, I immediately found the idea appealing. My goal was to bring joy to the students through the richness of the accompaniment. The musical language used is reminiscent of the early 20th-century French school, characterized by the use of certain historical modes. These pieces are therefore easily accessible to flutists while also providing access to a musical world rich in color and emotion. Each piece also corresponds to a dance, giving students the opportunity to learn what each of these dances represents.
