TCdC / Mr. Pozzi
€10.55
A piece for three musicians or a percussion ensemble, all playing the same type of instrument (or sound-producing object) and using their voices. All the musicians play the same instrument at two indeterminate pitches (a pair of temple blocks, bongos, large tin cans, wooden blocks, etc.). The writing is designed to allow performance by non-percussionists; the difficulty lies in the vocal percussion, primarily onomatopoeic. The choice of playing on drums made from everyday objects (large tin cans, for example) allows this piece to be performed by a large number of musicians. A sound poem, composed of the letters and words of the phrase "T ambour chien du comptoir" (Drum dog of the counter), is provided for free interpretation, encouraging the collective imagination of the performers.
