Marimbinho (with CD) / F. Dentresangle

Drawn from Bonga and Bongo, a collection of multi-percussion-marimba duets inspired by Brazilian music, the 14 short pieces of Marimbinho explore groove on the marimba. The CD allows students to work on timing and rhythmic phrasing thanks to Brazilian percussion accompaniments that instill the groove while pleasantly replacing the metronome. However, sound production and movement should not be neglected and will be further developed with the teacher's guidance. Marimbinho can also provide a repertoire for student concerts and recitals.
