Bonga and Bongo / F. Dentresangle

This collection of 14 duets, inspired by Brazilian music, Bonga and Bongo, explores the use of multiple percussion instruments. With increasing difficulty, these duets should be approached in a chamber music spirit. The CD allows students to work on rhythmic phrasing and the accompaniment of Brazilian percussion, which infuses them with groove while pleasantly replacing the metronome. The marimba parts are covered in a second booklet intended for more advanced students.
